Located in the Drome Provencale, the village of Reauville is among dozens of perched medieval villages in the area with a landscape much like Tuscany. The area is renowned for lavender, olive trees, wine, provincial markets and best of all, black truffles! Access is easy - 3 hours door to door from Gare de Lyon in Paris via high speed TGV train. If coming via car, only 15 minutes off the A7 autoroute.

RATES 

1950 euros per week for July and August or 1350 euros per week rest of the season plus 150 euro cleaning fee and 20 euros per guest linen laundry fee.

PRACTICALITIES

  • Saturday morning fruit and vegetable market in the village, bakery truck 3 times per week for bread, pastries, etc.
  • Doctor, pharmacy, bakery, large grocery store located 7km away in Grignan, large weekly Provencal market in Grignan and many other surrounding villages
  • Hospital 25 minutes away in Montelimar

ACTIVITIES

  • Pool & terrace lounging, happy hour, sleeping, cooking, eating, petanque
  • Home spa treatment - Valérie is the best!
  • Chateaux and fortress visiting, leisurely lunches - the medieval village of Grignan is a main destination yet remains charmingly authentic
  • Shopping in the numerous provincial markets (local products, antiques, art, etc.) in the surrounding villages
  • Wine tasting (Southern Cote de Rhone such as Gigondas, Chateauneuf de Pape, or local Grignan-les-Adhemar wineries), olive oil tasting
  • Stunning off road mountain biking and running trails, many scenic routes for road biking (bike rental available nearby)
  • Outdoor rock climbing
  • Stables for horse riding lessons, horse drawn carriage ride through the lavendar fields and vineyards through medieval villages
  • Walk down to the Monastery at Aiguebelle from the house through the forest, taste their famous fruit syrups
  • Fine dining in the area, Grignan has just gained a Michelin one star restaurant
  • Truffle hunting (tours available in our village during the season), gastronomic truffle diners - December to 1st week of March.

  • Nyons - 30 minute drive to heart of the region’s olive oil production, entrance to the beautiful Baronnies region
  • Baux de Provence - 1H30 minute drive, one of the favorites, classic provincial village, castle ruins to explore, fabulous lunch and amazing art installation with projections of master works in the reclaimed quarries
  • Gorges de l’Ardeche - 60 minute drive with stunning views, beautiful canoeing with organized return to car
